With over 16 years of history & we are continuing to expand due to a popular following amongst patients, medical referrers, strong networks and an excellent community reputation.  We work with all children 0-18 years in all areas of communication, literacy and feeding/swallowing issues.  Some clinicians work across the age ranges and clinical areas while others narrow a focus depending on their own clinical passions, new interest areas,  research goals and/or past experience put into action.

In everything we do, we aim to inspire confidence and action. Our signature service is providing a balance of family friendly and professional services so kids love coming and parents are confident they are getting a premium service for their child. We give them step by step therapy goals and activities that they can incorporate into their every day to help their child well beyond the therapy room. We lead a fun-loving, dedicated team that is committed to excellence, always sees the upside to any situation, and maintains the strength and flexibility to change the course of a child’s life.    We provide in-clinic 1:1 services, Speech and SPOT (speech & OT) joint services & groups, out of clinic services, training programmes (e.g., Hanen) and develop resources for clinicians and clients. The goal is to provide services that are needed and valuable to children & families and hence one way to fit all is not what SpeechNet is about.

What can we say? We really like each other! From team-building events to celebration of each other’s life events across all the disciplines. We work together with the common goals of enjoying the day, the love of working with kids and adolescents and continuously learning from each other. Dr Sandra McMahon, Speech Pathologist, PhD is the Founder, CEO and Senior Clinician and Researcher at SpeechNet, Dr McMahon, has worked extensively in paediatrics in community & education settings, was the Director of Speech Pathology at a Major Tertiary Pediatric Hospital and a Lecturer & Researcher at several Australian Universities. She has papers published in research journals and book chapters in areas of early speech, language and literacy development as well as paediatric feeding difficulties.
