Who is Brooke, Springfield & Brisbane Child Speech Pathologist?

Brooke is a qualified Speech Pathologist (also known as a Speech Therapist). Brooke graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours. Brooke enjoys making therapy sessions fun and engaging to help the children and their families achieve their communication goals.

Qualifications & Areas of Further Skill Development:

Brooke is a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). SPA is the professional association ensuring Speech Pathologists have the qualifications needed to practice as a speech pathologist. The fact that Brooke is a certified practising Speech Pathologist means that she has been attending conferences, reading research papers and keep current with the literature, giving you confidence that she has up-to-date skills and knowledge to apply in therapy sessions.

Brooke is a strong advocate for training and professional development and is committed to continuing her learning through in-services, in house training and online professional development courses.

Experience and Interest Areas:

Brooke has worked with children in childcare centres, schools and outpatient community settings. Brooke has also worked as a disability support worker providing home care and support for adults with complex communication and behaviour needs.

Brooke enjoys working and building strong relationships with children and their families to ensure they feel supported to achieve their goals.

Brooke has special interests in the areas of speech pathology including:

•  Social language (including emotional literacy)

• Paediatric feeding

• Early language development

When not working Brooke enjoys an active lifestyle and participates in a number of sports and activities, camping with her friends and travelling and exploring new places.
