Who is Cassie , Springfield & Brisbane  Child Speech Pathologist?

Cassie is a fun, bubbly and energetic speech pathologist who is passionate about helping children and families reach their communication goals. Cassie graduated from James Cook University (Townsville) with a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology. Cassie loves making therapy sessions fun and exciting whilst ensuring the children and their caregivers are supported to achieve their goals.

Qualifications & Areas of Further Skill Development:

Cassie is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). SPA is the professional association ensuring Speech Pathologists have the qualifications needed to practice as a speech pathologist. The fact that Cassie is a certified practising Speech Pathologist means she has been attending conferences, reading research papers and keeping current with the literature, giving you confidence that she has up-to-date skills and knowledge to apply in therapy sessions.

• Autism in the Early Years

• Treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech

• Queensland Health Paediatric feeding and swallowing course

Experience and Interest Areas:

Before becoming apart of the team here at SpeechNet, Cassie has previously worked as a Speech Pathologist for a private practice, specifically working with a range of children and adolescents with complex developmental needs. Cassie has a passion for building strong relationships with children and their families to help them achieve their goals.

Cassie has special interests in the areas of speech pathology including:

• Paediatric Feeding

• Early Language & Late talkers

• Childhood apraxia of Speech & Paediatric Feeding 

Outside of being a speech pathologist, Cassie loves exercising, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
